What to do???
I am not getting ANYWHERE with early intervention! We went through the public school system and they would not accept him even with a diagnosis from a Pediatric Psychologist and I cannot get any of the Autism preschool centers to call me back. What on earth is a mom to do?? I am so worried that he is going to slip through the cracks during the summer. Does anyone have a home school program that they have supplemented with? I just don't want to miss this early time!

You can appeal the school district's decision by filling out a one page from. If you request it, they have to supply it to you.
At preschool age, most of the early intervention is done by the parents.
Speech Therapist
Occupational Therapist
If your child is testing too high at school, you'll probably have to continue these yourself.
Since you have a diagnosis, you should be able to organize an IEP for school but you'll need to think carefully about what you want because they're hard to change once they're in place.
Also - consider a tutor on weekends.
Random early intervention by itself isn't terribly useful. You need to work out exactly which weaknesses need to be pulled up; Speech? Reading? Mathematics? Listening Skills? Attention Span or perhaps just social skills.
Good luck.
So sorry to hear this! My little siblings all used ECI, and it was great...unfortunately I don't know enough about this to help you out. I hope you find an incredible program soon to help your sweet boy!
