Alex is 4 months!!

Wahoo little guy you are 4 months old this week! We have been so blessed to have you in our lives. Everyday you put up with so much poking and prodding with your physical therapy but you rarely protest. Thank you for all that you have taught us! Your strength amazes me everyday and we are honored to be your parents.

It is time for a change!!

So, I did it, I darkened my hair! What do you think? I had every intention of getting my hair done the same boring blond that I have done for the past bazillion years but when I got to the salon I was struck from a voice from above. No, it was not God it was Jen (Team Pretty President) and she gave me the encouragement that I needed to do this drastic change. I have never ever EVER had my hair this dark, nothing even remotely close.
I will admit, I kind of like the change. It makes me stand out from the other mommies on the playground…
So let me know what you all think, good or bad. I can take it, I promise!

And so it begins…

Wahoo! After a month and a half of waiting, paperwork and meetings Alex officially starts his physical therapy! Due to his therapy sessions I have decided to not go back to my traditional day job and will just continue to run my business as the “Worlds Best Dog Trainer” at night and on the weekends. Ironically enough I too have physical therapy tomorrow for those of you who don’t know, I have started on the quest to be a runner and I am already on a sabbatical due to complexly tearing a ligament in my ankle. The doctor is not only worried about the torn ligament but my Achilles Tendon snapping and rolling up into my leg. The funny thing about all of this is I tend to roll my ankle often and fall which has made quite a few friends die of laughter. I get 6 weeks of P.T. (with a super cute therapist. Sorry Scotty!!) and if that does not work I will have to have surgery, just what I need, another scar!
So, we are praying that Alex does well with his therapist and starts to catch up to babies his age. The meetings that he had had with her he seems to really responds well to her. We like her too, she came highly recommended by one of my good friends (hi hot feet) who has a son with Downs Syndrome.

By the way, I MISS MY AUNTIES!!!!

I am off to pick up doggie poop from the backyard before it rains. Yuck, soggy poo is not fun poo.

No such luck and a pepto house

I thought that we had a super baby when he slept through the night twice, but last night he was up every 2 hours. That’s what I get for bragging...At least nothing can take away his "Best Looking Baby In the World" title!!
After YEARS and YEARS of debate, Scott caved in and let me have the house painted. Yesterday was the big day. We left the house at 9 am to return at 5 to a mess. We were both shocked as we walked into a house with pink, yup pink, walls. I thought that maybe we were in the wrong house but the numbers on the outside matched up! Darn. Even Scott was taken back by the color and nothing to gets to him. As if the nausea, heartburn, indigestion medicine color was not enough, they left paint spots all over my precious hardwood floors. Needless to say we are not happy and do not have the time or funds to repaint. I will need to learn to live with it.
We plan on putting our house for sale next year so I guess that we will have to keep our fingers crossed that some color blind family will love it!

He did it!

Big news at the Williams house! Alex slept through the night! He went down at 10 and woke up at 6. That’s a full 8 hours and oh boy did we need it. Hopefully this is not a freak incident and he will continue to sleep.
Now if we could only teach him to change his own diaper…

Ode to Cracker Ass(et) Manager

Dearest Cousin Cracker,
I miss you so much and I wish that you were here. You being 2000 miles away makes me sad and I hate it. I need you to come back to visit so we can drink Diet Coke and only eat Raisin Bran Crunch and protein bars. It would also be nice if you could teach Jack some words other than "Cracker". You are one of my favorite people in the world and I love you even though you own a Sun Bear and one of your parents looks like a terrorist. Out of all of my nutty cousins on my mom’s side you are one of the only normal ones.
Let’s put down a big pile of sweaters and snuggle in to watch a good game of Corn hole.
Cheers (while holding a Mic Ultra in one hand and a sugar cookie in another) to you!!
Love,
The Pretty One and The Cousin
P.S. Tell Mr. Sir Humps A Lot that I miss him too!!
Another P.S. Your pretty face would sure make a good 30th birthday present!! Hint hint…

A week of sickness!

Hello all! Again it has been awhile since my last blog but there has been a lot going on!
Jack got his first much need haircut. He did pretty well and did not cry, just whinned a ton in true Jack style.
Alex started his physical therapy and he seems to be making leaps and bounds. I think that the little guy wants to be and strong like his big brother. When I took him into the doctor last week he was diagnosed with a case of RSV. When they weighed him he was 14 pounds!! He gained almost a pound in one week. I am neither a doctor nor do I play one on T.V. but it seems that if I grew that rapidly I may have some muscle delays too? Who knows…? What we do know is that he seems to be “all there” mentally and is doing better physically. Wahoo little guy! It you would only sleep more than 3 hours at a time at night!!
Jack attack is sick… again! His fever got as high as 102.6 yesterday and I couldn’t get it under control with Tylenol. When I took him in the doctor they suspected another ear infection may be brewing. When we weighed him fully clothed he was only 25 pounds! I wonder where he is on the grown charts. It can’t be high for height and weight! I need to say a BIG INTERNET THANKYOU to Margot!! She really is the voice of all reason and gives the best advice. Margot, we are so blessed to have you now as a part of our family. I have told Ashley a million times that we want to adopt you too! We really do have the best open adoption in the world! I know that many on you blog stalkers are in the process of adopting and if any of you would like to talk to us privately about our open adoption we would love it. We are huge fans and we love sharing our story with anyone who will listen!
Scott is doing precious as ever! I challenged him to jog with me and I had no idea what I was getting myself into! He’s a joggin freak! Every time he comes home from a run he updates his spread sheet on the computer. Only my guy can turn things nerdy! He gets up most mornings and works out before work and then jogs when he gets home. Really, he has taken it to the next level. When Scott does something he does it big. Ask Marianne about his world famous giant hamburgers!! The work outs are starting to pay off and he is getting tiny with big muscles. I could go on and on about how wonderful he looks but they could take up a whole other blog!
I had my little surgery and it went well. I opted for a local and that was a bad idea! I wanted to be strong and brave and able to drive myself home. If I had known what I was getting myself into I would have made other plans. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they got everything this time and I won’t have to go through this again. We know that the biopsy will come back with cancerous cells; we just hope that they are nowhere near the margins!!
That’s about all for now, nothing profound or funny! My humor goes down on tubes on little sleep…
I am off to get ready for family to come into town. Scott’s aunt and uncle are coming in a few hours and we always have a wonderful time (and I usually gain 10 pounds). I am sure that we will go on a fun adventure so I will take lots or pictures to share with you
